So who is to decide if there should be a weapon page or not?
I don't agree with the last sentence because of two reasons:
* 1. look at every single (game related) Wiki that is mentioned in [[Wolfire Wiki Editing Standards#Useful Examples]] - Every weapon has its own page there:
** http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Weapons
** http://www.wowwiki.com/Weapons
** http://marvel.wikia.com/Category:Weapons
** http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Weapons
** http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/BioShock_Weapons
** http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Category:The_Witcher_2_weapons (not on the list but also a very good wiki)
The reason why its better to have a page for every weapon is because its simply easier to manage them on their own page then to track every single occurence on collection pages like [[Equipment_and_Weapons]] or [[Dogs#Weaponry]] (which I have combined previously because they contained duplicates of the same information)
* 2. Image pages should be used to describe the image itself and only give a short description about its content. http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Image_page

Ok, but in my defense, what I'm doing is pretty much like bioware's doing (exception is the staff (I found a picture that wasn't being used only about staves)):

But COD also does a cross between:
* http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/File:C96_Mauser.PNG (they do what you say, but the files are named exactly what the weapon is ie we need to make sure that rabbit catcher a ,b ,c naming convention is used if we add no description)
* http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/M1917_revolver
* http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Revolvers
* http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Handguns
* http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Weapons
Either way,  after we decide what to do with the weapons category, we need templates like:
* http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Weapons
* http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Gunbox
* http://medalofhonor.wikia.com/wiki/Template:MOHA_Weapons
Thanks very much for helping with the editing standards. You're right about "So who is to decide if there should be a weapon page or not?". The only way to decide is debate and argue for your most liked example and then decide which one most people think is best. I'm always happy to go through one by one and edit my mistakes for the better.
